No One Could’ve Made The Process Any Easier!
From the very beginning Kim was amazing. She adviced us as to how much to list the property for, and what we needed to do to get the condo ready to show, which was much less than anticipated. Kim even recommended outside vendors to help us clean the unit and to clear the condo out of unwanted items, which allowed us to list the property only one week after first meeting her. Kim kept us informed throughout the process of potential suitors, and possible offers. In the end, she was able to secure a cash buyer who was willing to pay a fair price. Because of Kim’s efforts, we were able to close 3 months after the property was first listed, which was so much faster than expected. We are so glad that Kim was our agent, as no one could have made the process any easier for us.

About Kim
I grew up in the town of Huntington. I am one of four girls. My father was Lieutenant in the NYPD and my mom worked part time, while raising my sisters and I. My father instilled in me tremendous work ethic and faith. My mother taught me to be kind to everyone and never be judgmental. My sisters are my best friends who continue to support and inspire me every day. I’m blessed with a great family.
I graduated from Walt Whitman High school in 1992. I attended SUNY Cortland where I received my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education.
After graduation, I was hired as a fifth grade teacher at Maplewood Elementary School in Huntington Station. I taught there for four years. I was fortunate to have received this job offer as teaching positions were very hard to secure. I loved teaching and adored my students. I often see them around town happy and grown. It gives me great joy! While teaching I received my masters degree at SUNY Stony Brook. I married my junior high school sweetheart Gerald Filardi in 1998.
We welcomed our first son Gerald Jr. in November 2000. At that time, Gerald and I decided that it would be best for our family if I stayed home to raise him. I resigned from my teaching position. Filling my time between parenting, I was tutoring former students.
In the fall of 2003 after my second son Jack was born, I was looking for something more. Gerald encouraged me to study and obtain my real estate license. He knew I always loved homes and working with people. I doubt he knew what a truly great idea this would be. We had our third son Joseph in 2007. The day Joseph was born, I had 11 listings. I was in Huntington Hospital and after recovering that afternoon on April 24th, the first thing I wanted was to see my Joseph and the second was my laptop and phone. I had deals I had to work on…:)
I spent 9 years as a realtor with Coldwell Banker. I found the company to be exactly what I needed to learn the business. However, I was extremely fortunate to be approached by Peter Morris in the fall of 2012. He is the owner of Signature Premier Properties. Shortly thereafter I decided that Signature would be my new home. It turned out to be the best decision I ever made!! My relationships in my life are the most important, and Signature understands that. With Signature I am able to provide so much more to my clients. Exceptional marketing, tremendous back end support and more of myself. My company gives a whole new meaning to giving. The administrative staff is second to none; my managers: Joe and Kathy are extremely knowledgeable and caring people. I couldn’t ask for better individuals to work with. I am more confident than I have ever been about my career and the future that lies ahead. I just had my best year ever in 2022 and I can only thank Peter, Kathy and Signature.
My goal in life and my wish everyday is to be able to take care of my three beautiful boys. Being their mom is my most important job. Signature allows me to do this and I am beyond grateful.
